Kent International College awarded scholarships to tennis athletes
On the morning of March 14, 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Tennis Federation and Kent International College held the signing ceremony and awarding scholarships to tennis athletes with total value up to more than 800 million Vietnamdong.
This event is a part of strategic cooperation program between Vietnam Tennis Federation and Kent International College to increase opportunities to find jobs for Vietnamese tennis talents. Awarded athletes are the ones assessed and selected by Vietnam Tennis Federation based on their performance in the year 2019 - 2020. Each athlete is allowed to choose one of the training majors. Create a long-term practice bachelor program at the school, in accordance with individual aspirations.

The training programs in Kent are highly practical, such as: Business Administration of Air Transport, Multimedia Communication (Film Production - Animation / Digital Graphic Design), Hotel Management, Restaurant & Food Service Management, Digital Marketing, Business Administration (Logistics and Supply Chain Management / BA-BI) … The program will last for 2.5 years with a tuition fee of more than 200 million VND, athletes can choose to study the Bachelor of International Practice (study in English) or Bachelor of High Quality Practice. In the coming years, the Vietnam Tennis Federation will continue to cooperate with Kent International College as well as other partners and businesses to support tennis players practicing and having more motivation to dedicate themselves to domestic sports.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Doan Thanh Tung - General Secretary of VTF said: “For many years, Vietnam Tennis Federation has always strived to create conditions for athletes to practice, compete, also focus on job creation, career orientation for athletes. With the available qualities of a professional athlete such as Physical strength, dynamism, energy, willpower are formed from practice and competition, we believe that athletes will quickly adapt and expand their career development opportunities after completing their study at school. ”

Mr. Nguyen Quyet Chien - Rector of KENT International College also expressed his feelings at the signing ceremony: “KENT International College is honored to accompany the Vietnam Tennis Federation and tennis players. KENT is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for athletes to both participate in training and competitions while learning to improve their knowledge and ensure jobs in the future. ”

Athlete Ly Hoang Nam (Hai Dang Tennis Club) sincerely thanks the Vietnam Tennis Federation and KENT International College for facilitating the awarding of valuable scholarships to tennis athletes. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, Hoang Nam will arrange training and competition schedules to complete the course at KENT.
